The Girl Who Walked On Air by Emma Carroll is a truly magnificent book. It is written magically and draws you in from the start. The storyline is unpredictable with just the right amount of plot-twists, and the whole thing was so good I literally couldn’t put it down. We read it in our book club ‘Bookaneers’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful book!
The main storyline is about a young girl called Louie, with high hopes of becoming a circus tightrope showstopper, but the path to fame is hard, and she must do many incredible things to show off her rare talent. Being an orphan makes it even harder, so join Louie on her jaw-dropping adventure.
I recommend this story to any 9-14 year olds who are willing to not put the book down, and are also willing to gasp and sigh the whole way through!
